It is here Heidi met Daniel Caillard, a soldier from Garons (N\u00eemes) who would become her husband.\u00a0 In 1971 the couple would welcome their first child Adrien. That same year, they bought a ruined Mas in Lussan (this Mas had belonged for a time to the ancestors of the writer Andr\u00e9 Gide) and began the loving renovations of creating a home and studio.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">In 1974, the workshop and the store officially opened in Lussan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">The very first ceramic guinea fowl, imagined by Heidi during her studies at the Arts et M\u00e9tiers in Basel, was born at this time. Inspired by the real poultry in her garden, the creation of the work required many long days of preliminary sketches, construction and deconstruction to obtain the perfect shape.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">\u201cHaving been fascinated for more than 30 years by the originality and the elegance of the Guinea hens that run free in my garden, it finally came to me that by immortalizing them in a harmonious and timeless object, I could convey my love of the Guineas to others.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">The voluptuous bodies and slender necks of the guinea fowl contribute to this very special elegance.\u00a0These stylized sculptures are hand-painted using a special technique that creates warm and unique colors.\u00a0More than just decorative objects, each one is unique work of art that are now considered collector&#8217;s items around the globe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/pro.usa.ceramique-de-lussan.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/14.DECOR3_-scaled.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2351 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/pro.usa.ceramique-de-lussan.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/14.DECOR3_-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"960\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/pro.usa.ceramique-de-lussan.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/14.DECOR3_-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/pro.usa.ceramique-de-lussan.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/14.DECOR3_-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/pro.usa.ceramique-de-lussan.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/14.DECOR3_-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/pro.usa.ceramique-de-lussan.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/14.DECOR3_-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/pro.usa.ceramique-de-lussan.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/14.DECOR3_-2048x1365.jpg 2048w, https:\/\/pro.usa.ceramique-de-lussan.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/14.DECOR3_-400x267.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">Through the leadership of their son Adrien Caillard, the little atelier has grown, now exporting hens around the world.\u00a0 Optimizations in packing and manufacturing processes has allowed this little team to expand production while keeping intact all the manual gestures directly linked to each object.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">Over time, the presence at the Maison &amp; Objet International Decoration Exhibition in Paris as well as the numerous articles published in the press have made the small ceramic workshop world famous.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">In 2000, an additional workshop was built with the same architecture as the Mas. A magnificent framework by Daniel Sechet (<a href=\"http:\/\/atbc.fr\/\">atbc.fr<\/a>) made available 200 m\u00b2 without any posts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">Our ceramics are visible in many countries of the world and are exposed 4 times a year in the United States during decoration shows (New York, Atlanta and Las Vegas).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">Today, a whole team is present to inform you and perpetuate the activity. There are 50 colors of guinea fowl, 3 collections (matte speckled, shiny and plain).
